6:30 p.m. --01 March 2007 I was able to speak to Baby and Pete Padilla a few minutes ago...Boboy died in Premiere Gen. Hospital, Cabanatuan City. They haven't decided yet on the burial date, but it will be towards the end of next week. They will post the details soon into this website. Boboy's health actually improved dramatically since he suffered the stroke last Feb. 26....his blood pressure went down and with normal heart beat. He has never been brought home as planned and actually stayed in the hospital the last few days until when his conditions improved......... but only up to a point. He just waited for Baby, Pete and Donna left for home to take some rest when he finally gave up for good at 2 AM friday.

I am trying to get hold of Baby, Donna and Luz by phone, but it just keep ringing......After several hours of trying, i was able to talk to Baby and Pete. They are expecting the arrival of Fred from Iloilo and Diony from Davao yata sometime tonight (Tuesday, Manila time). 21 January 2007 I received a surprise call from Mr. Lido Millares of New York saying Hello and pledging an amount of Usd50 for Boboy. The money will be remitted by his son in Cebu direct to Boboy's account. Mang Lido was telling me that they were good neighbors in Tabon and have fond memories of Boy and Boboy. Daghang salamat Mang Lido ! Mart, checked with metrobank here, money will be available 3 to 5 days yet.
Don't worry naiintindihan kita there are really intricacies in life that come are way. You just have to know how to deal with them. I think you are comfortably much better position kaya nagpapasalamat ako at nadyan ka hanggang sa huli.

I still well remember you and Donna when you guys are only around 6 years old. Almost everyday that i have been in your lower hill house with your Kuya Boy and Boboy. I think John Dean was still a baby when i left Mangagoy and Neal wasn't around yet. Your Kuyas were like my brothers....though they are quite opposite in so many ways, we just all fit together in any occasions. We have a long history of friendship that is quite unmatched in so many ways. I don't recall any single argument with any of them in any way.
Pls send my regards to your Mama and Papa and the rest of your siblings. I will call you to say Hello this weekend or next.

Am not sure if you know Boboy V., but they had lived in that house sa likod nila Villa na katabi ng Bislig Inn...dating kay De Vega yata. Toto or Nenette must have known them. As a matter of fact we saw his father in San Diego last year. Thanks for the info and I salute you and Mario for what you guys have done. It's remarkable. Guido 17 Jan 2007 Hi Mang Guido, Thanks so much for your help ! I have seen Boboy several times i think that was between 1999 and 2001 everytime i am in Manila and he is still residing in his Las Pinas home until i found out at a later time that he already sold his property and moved to Cabanatuan (his wife Luz' hometown)with his whole family. Although slim at that time, he is in the best of health until he started telling me of his random Gout attacks on his foot, but not sure if it is already a part of the Diabetes complication. He wasn't even able to attend the funeral of my 2 younger brothers because of the inability to walk and drive, after getting so many phone calls and text messaging from his Methods batch/ Plywood co-inspectors in those days. Until in 2005 i think that he has an operation in his foot to clean an infected wound and let it healed naturally and that is why he was on crutches for months. The FOB offered temporary financial help for his daily sustenance after losing a big chunk of his savings that destroyed his crops from typhoons shortly after moving to Nueva Ecija. Until late last year i think that i spoke to him again with the bad news that he is getting blind and requesting for a planned operation (Laser surgery) funding. Although he is not definite yet about it for we really discussed it quite in details that even though he gets an operation, he still has to do the proper maintenance in his ailment, otherwise the operation will be futile. I told him to think about this very clearly and weigh all the factors and text me again if he is already ready for it and i will send him the money, but didn't get any text message from him until this New Year requesting help for his dialysis. Immediately sent him an amount (i felt so bad that i knew it wouldn't be enough and keep asking myself on what should i really do. We just have concluded the fund raising for the Mangagoy Fire and i don't want to bother anyone, not just yet, for asking financial help. I myself has other commitments and also saving for family holidays in the Philippines plus the highschool reunion. With that letter from Brod Mario, i found some strength and told Zola....let's help and am sorry to say that i didn't find the courage of spearheading it right away before Mario's letter. Now, i am glad i am doing it again helping Mario for the sake of our closed friend, Boboy. Thank you ! Mart Martin, I will mail you a cheque this weekend. So sorry to hear of Bobby's predicament -- things look bleak from the way Mario described it. Realistically we should prepare for the worst. But prayers and faith have always worked wonders so let's all do that for him. Joey Thanks so much Joey ! Yes, it seems hopeless even when i spoke to Boboy over 2 weeks ago. But he has always been in a good spirit whenever i talk to him over the phone. I knew he has accepted his fate and i could only wish for some miracles.
